AFRICON is an all BLACK everything conference that brings together pop culture, music, food, innovation, activism, education & more from the global Black Diaspora. This event which coincides with Africa Day, aims to celebrate the diversity of the African Continent and the Diaspora through the lens of entertainment, media, technology and leadership.
The annual AfroBall Gala is an opportunity for the African diasporan community, supporters and friends with an interest in Africa, to give back to Africa and it's descendants by highlighting and awarding exemplary individuals in the areas of education, healthcare, entertainment, stem, media and economic development to name a few.
A multi-genre music stage event featuring artists and DJs from across the Americas, Carribbean and African continent
To ensure you safely enjoy your experience, we adhere to CDC and City Covid-19 guidelines. We also ask that all attendees and staff adhere to the Covid-19 policies and take advantage of onsite preventive resources available such as:Distribution of reusable masks Sanitation stations and frequent sanitization of shared spaces. Separate tickets are not offered for individual conference events. The available ticket options are General Admission, VIP, and Conference Plus. Attendees can purchase tickets for the conference at www.africon.global/tickets.
Attendees can check in at the main lobby of the Magic Box and the lobby of the E-central hotel, which is the official conference hotel.
Your AFRICON experience covers events from the 24th to the 27th, including the welcome event, conference sessions, music stage, and Afro ball for VIP ticket holders. Side events, including networking events and parties, are not included in the AFRICON experience and must be purchased separately. Please visit the conference website for a full list of included events.
We are introducing a new ticket option for attendees interested in networking opportunities at AFRICON. This ticket may be sponsored by employers and includes access to limited 1-1 mentorship sessions with notable speakers and access to masterclasses during the conference. This is a great opportunity for attendees to connect with industry leaders and expand their professional skills.
VIP ticket holders at AFRICON will have access to all the perks of the AFRICON Plus ticket, including the VIP Lounge, exclusive merchandise, and the Afro ball. However, this ticket does not grant access to any side events. Please note that separate tickets must be purchased for any side events that you wish to attend.
To attend side events at AFRICON, you must purchase separate tickets and have the designated credentials. A pass to one event does not grant access to others.

The hotel is located at the corner of Olympic and Figueroa (it is across the street from the Grammy Museum) There are several paid parking lots in walking distance of the hotel. Paid parking lots are availble on Olympic and Fig, Olympic and 11th, Flower and 11th as well as metered parking, be sure to reads signage as restrictions apply
